What do the Friends do?

The association knows three different types of projects. The most important category for us is “FDF funding projects”. These funds can be allocated according to our association statutes.

Project examples are “Agile Research at the Chair of Digital Farming”. Examples can be found on the website of the Chair of Digital Farming – TU Kaiserslautern (uni-kl.de). The second category of projects is public funding projects.

The association together with the chair offers a platform to translate project ideas into public funding applications. There are no subsidies from the association here.
Examples of projects are Nalamki (NalamKI) or Sustainable Milk (Project “More Sustainable Milk” (deere.de).

In addition, there is a third category, projects that arise from the association. No funds from the association are flowing here. These projects would never have come into being without the association and its network. Examples include better barley, https://youtu.be/dZgyP1Bme6g, Remote Sensing from Space for Agriculture (dfki.de) or Handbook Digital Farming: Digital Transformation for Sustainable Agriculture | SpringerLink
